The Hay Barn was founded in 1996 by Maroon Web Publishing, an Internet leader in agricultural web development. Officially launched in May 1996, the Hay Barn provided a valuable means of connecting hay sellers with buyers in drought-stricken areas. Since then, the Hay Barn has expanded its services to include visitors from all 50 states and many foreign countries.
